The China-Laos Railway, connecting regions such as China’s Xishuangbanna and Laos’ Luang Prabang from north to south, plays a significant role as a vital corridor linking China with Southeast Asian countries. Statistics show that from January 1 to August 16 this year, the China-Laos Railway has operated more than 13,000 passenger trains, marking a 22% increase compared to the previous year, and transported 11.2 million passengers, reflecting a remarkable 101% increase. This development has fostered economic and trade exchanges between China and Laos, along with the high-quality development of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, solidifying its position as a golden corridor connecting and facilitating mutually beneficial interactions.
