This train was jointly organized by Sichuan Land-Sea New Channel Development Co., Ltd. and Guangyuan International Railway Port Construction and Development Co., Ltd. It is the second international freight train on the China-Laos Railway that has been launched from this station, following the inaugural launch of the international freight train on the China-Laos Railway (Guangyuan-Vientiane) in April this year.
“After the successful operation of this train, the transportation time has been reduced from 8 to 15 days by road to 5 days, greatly reducing transportation costs for enterprises and significantly improving freight efficiency,” said a spokesperson from Guangyuan Depot at Guangyuannan Railway Station.
As the gateway hub of northern Sichuan, Guangyuan has attracted goods from provinces and regions such as Gansu, Shaanxi, and Ningxia. The well-established logistics corridors provide enterprises with more convenient foreign trade services. The opening of this new route not only enriches the diversified transportation methods of the local international railway but also further promotes Guangyuan's integration into the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and its participation in the international market.
