CR-Harbin has implemented a new model of international combined transport, “wide-gauge departure with a heavy load,” to enhance the efficiency of import and export cargo transportation. The newly commissioned international container yard capacity has been fully utilized, resulting in a doubling of the daily change of international combined transport trains. Additionally, an AEI detection station was added to the border inspection site, enabling automatic recognition and entry of train numbers within seconds.
At the workshop hall of the International Combined Transport Handover Center in Manzhouli Station, workshop translator Chen Peng confirms and reviews the waybill information for the return journey of CRE trains through the “95306 Digital Port” system.
The “Digital Port” system enables the interconnection and sharing of railway logistics data with customs supervision information, allowing enterprises and cargo owners to complete customs declarations, railway flow change, and other procedures without leaving their offices. Li Zhigang, on-site manager of Manzhouli Railway Container International Logistics Co., Ltd., stated, “Previously, it took at least half a day from declaration to customs clearance, but now it can be done in just a few minutes.”
CR-Harbin has promoted the application of the “Railway Fast Clearance” business model, leveraging the advantages of smart platforms such as the “Digital Port” and container management systems to achieve “paperless clearance” at the port. They prioritize the preparation of operation plans, optimize the productivity layout of the port station area, and monitor the progress of handover and change of trains in different stages. It also focuses on providing transportation services to the port, creating convenient conditions for transportation organizations, actively connecting with international cargo agency companies to reduce enterprise transportation and loading and unloading costs. At the same time, they allocate resources, strengthen communication and coordination with customs, border inspection, freight forwarding companies, and other relevant departments, and establish regular meetings with railway departments of countries along the international combined transport lines, making every effort to ensure the smooth operation of the port.
This year, the freight volume of Manzhouli Port has repeatedly reached new highs, with a maximum of 28 trains passing through Manzhouli Railway Station in a single day, including 8 outbound trains, both breaking historical records.
