In the past decade, three main transportation routes have been formed for outbound CRE trains from domestic ports such as Alataw Pass, Horgos Port, Erenhot Port, Manzhouli Port, and Suifenhe Port, serving the western, central, and eastern regions of China. The designated CRE train routes, with a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour, have now reached 86, connecting 112 cities. Internationally, they have developed three major routes: northern, central, and southern, connecting 217 cities in 25 European countries and regions, as well as over 100 cities in 11 Asian countries and regions along the line.
According to data from the CR, from January to August of this year, CRE trains operated 11,638 services, transporting 1.262 million TEUs of containers, marking a 10% and 23% increase respectively compared to the previous year and indicating a development towards higher quality, better efficiency, and increased safety.
